Five Oaks and nine other Warburton Highway wineries will again open their 'sheds' for a weekend of wine, delicious food and music.

At Five Oaks we will again feature Croquet lessons on the back lawn and Jim Stevens on guitar in the winery.

Also, we will be releasing our 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon and 2008 Merlot!!!!! Come and enjoy the Yarra Valley Deli's menu of:

• Thai style marinated chicken and prawns salad, drizzled with a sticky coconut dressing $16, or
• Vegetable frittata, with a pear and pecan salad $14
• Lamb burger for kids $ 6.50
• Lime and coconut tart with cream $6.50

Five Oaks will salute the noble Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot in our barrel room and winery.

We will feature a vertical tasting of at least 10 vintages from 1995 to 2010 of our Cabernet, Cabernet-Merlot or Merlot, with a selection of cheeses to accompany the wines.

2 sessions 10 am and 2 pm

$35 pp, payable in advance.

Our Cellar Door will be open as usual for tastings and sales of a range of current release wines.

A centralized Yarra Valley experience will be held at the Yarra Glen Racing Centre. This will include wineries offering tastings and sales of their wines, local restaurants preparing and selling food, prominent chefs presenting cooking demonstrations, and much much more!

Five Oaks is an idyllic setting to enjoy a private event, wedding, personal wine tasting or corporate function. We have the ability to tailor an experience to represent the needs of the client or organization.

Events can range from a simple do-it-yourself BBQ, Wally's pancakes, or tutored wine tastings in the winery to something more formal involving a marquee.

Why not consider packing a hamper of goodies or order a picnic hamper and have a good old-fashioned picnic with friends under our oak trees or covered veranda!!
